In early 1985, Ray Underhill packed up his gear and drove his Ford hatchback from Gallatin, Tennessee to California to pursue his dreams of making it big in skateboarding. Soon after his arrival, Powell Peralta recognized his talent and welcomed him as an amateur on the legendary Bones Brigade team. Rayâs patience and dedication paid off when Powell Peralta released his first pro model - Chain and Cross in 1990. Known for his smooth style and deep bag of tricks, Ray brought a unique talent and grace to the vert scene of the late 1980âs, making friends everywhere he went.
